iRocker all around 11 review

iRocker all around 11 is one of the most well-known paddleboards in the upmarket, and it appears that it has risen to the top this year. Of course, you don’t reach that level of competitiveness without having good products and services.

If you know anything about us, you know that we have a lot of paddleboards in our possession. And we’ve never been disappointed by what this brand has to offer in all that time. Not only do they use high-quality materials and construction, but they also put thought into their products, which is uncommon in any business, let alone this one.

Of course, in this article, we’ll be discussing the 2022 iRocker 11’All Around inflatable paddleboard in particular. Throughout the history of our publication, this has been one of our favorites, but who would profit the most from this board, and is the 2021 model worth it? These are two questions that can assist you in making the best option for your first I saw buy or if you want to upgrade.

iRocker all-around 11 paddleboard

Performance of irocker all around 11

This is the paddleboard in iRocker’s regular range that we believe will provide you with the best overall results. This is due to the fact that it has a larger profile than the sport yet is still balanced enough to allow you to perform almost anything.

Longer boards are preferred by the majority of our testers. This is true even for our smallest tester, who stands 5 feet 5 inches tall and weighs 120 pounds. Of course, a lot of it comes down to personal preference and what you’re used to, but longer boards will give you a better overall paddling experience because you’ll be more bullet-shaped and able to move faster in the water.

The only drawback we can think of when it comes to basic paddleboarding with this board is that it will be a little more difficult to make sharper turns in the water, especially if you’re traveling swiftly. This is because the iRocker cruiser is designed for forwarding speed, and a longer board is always going to be more difficult to turn than a more rounded shape.

Despite this, it’s still a great all-around board for pretty much everything you’d want to accomplish. SUP surfing is one use that we would recommend avoiding with this board in general. That isn’t to say it won’t handle some waves; but, the board is too long and the rocker is too low for good surfing.

If you get any major waves on this board, the nose will stick into the water and launch you from the back. To be fair, this board was not made for surfing, and no one has claimed that it is. Nonetheless, we’d like to include these details to make the evaluation as thorough as possible.

Features of all around 11 inflatable sup board

iRocker has always been known for its feature-rich approach as an industry leader. Inflatable paddleboards were once thought to be little more than a fancy pool toy or a Plan B for hardboards. Customers have gotten more sophisticated and expect more from even inflatable paddleboards as time has passed, thanks in part to the efforts of companies like iRocker. iRocker, of course, has risen to the occasion admirably.

To begin, both the front and back include 6-point bungee storage places for loose bags and equipment, as well as D-rings for attaching goods such as dry bags or coolers. People who paddleboard on a daily basis appreciate having additional storage capacity since it allows them to stay out on the water longer and extend their trip. Most paddleboards have some type of bungee cord storage, but the iRocker takes it to the next level.

On this iSUP, there are a total of 20 D-rings. These rings serve as anchor points for the optional kayak seat as well as any docking system.

They inserted a single D-ring underneath the board’s nose, which may be used for towing, which is a good touch. We were initially perplexed when iRocker introduced all of these D-rings around the deck a few years back. However, the more we use these boards, the more we realize how convenient it is to be able to attach ropes almost wherever on the deck. After all, you can always choose the water conditions, dock placement, or vegetation, and being able to tie a carabiner or rope to just about anything is a plus!

As with most boards that we love, iRocker was sure to add three grab handles: at the front, and rear in the center of the board. Just about any board in the market will have a center grab handle, but having a grab handle at the front and rear gives you a lot of freedom when taking the board in and out of the water.

In our opinion, the most important grab handle to add is at the rear so that you can lift the board up and not worry about damaging the fins if you’re dragging the board on land. With these three grab handles, nothing stops you from just getting up and taking the board wherever you want to go!

Board Design

We like how this model comes in so many different colors. We don’t always expect paddleboard manufacturers to provide us with six color options. Paddleboards are generally offered in limited quantities since it costs more money for manufacturers to stop production lines and change colors. This year, the 11’All Around comes in six color variations, ensuring that you never have to compromise on style.

The front rocker of this board is not meant for surfing, as previously stated. This is due to the fact that this is a conventional rocker, which lifts the nose out of the water just enough to assist you in choppier waters without slowing you down. To get the most out of that type of water, in an ideal world, you’d have a low rocker in calmer conditions and a very high rocker in rougher conditions. This moderate rocker will keep you comfortable paddling in a variety of situations and weather.

The textured surface is exceptionally pleasant to stand on for extended periods of time, sit on, or even conduct Sup workout programs. The texture was created with the goal of keeping you onboard even when things get slick and removing water as rapidly as possible. Because you’re on a paddleboard, you’re going to get wet, and if the pad isn’t made with that in mind, traction will be tough.

Construction

In the past, the number of layers of PVC in an iSUP was used to determine its quality, and iRocker was always on the higher end with four layers.

The disadvantage is that you will gain weight. In recent years, a growing number of businesses have begun to produce boards with a harder interior, allowing them to utilize fewer layers of PVC and, theoretically, a lighter iSUP. While this is accurate in terms of constructing a stronger board, it does not help with external damage such as punctures. A damaged board is the last thing you want on a multi-day ride.

This year, iRocker’s redesigned construction combines the best of both worlds by adopting a stronger drop-stitch core while still protecting the board with three layers of military-grade PVC on the outside. This results in a sturdy board that can withstand the elements while still remaining lightweight. This isn’t the lightest 11′ iSUP on the market, but it’s certainly the most durable.

Included Accessories

Aside from the board itself, you can expect the following when purchasing the 2021 iRocker All-Around:

  • 3-piece travel paddle carbon matte shaft with nylon blade
  • Dual chamber, triple action hand pump
  • 10’ leash with key stash spot
  • Premium travel roller bag
  • Removable nylon sup fins (1 center fin and 2 side fins)
  • Repair kit (Patches and valve wrench — Does not include glue)

iRocker also offers a variety of extra accessories, such as a kayak seat and fishing equipment. We would not object if you wanted to purchase their electric air pump as well. Believe us when we say we understand how difficult it is to inflate these inflatable paddleboards. If you don’t want to waste time inflating your paddleboard with the supplied pump, or if you need to inflate numerous paddleboards at once (like us), the optional electric air pump will come in handy.

Our Take

This is our favorite paddleboard from the I rocker range year after year. Of course, if you’re looking for something a little more polished, check out their Blackfish paddleboard collection. However, we believe that the features, build, and price of the 2021 11’All Around paddleboard place it in a very favorable position.

Naturally, many of the reasons we appreciate this model are somewhat subjective, especially when it comes to length and width. You may like shorter or longer boards, but 11 feet is about as far as you’ll want to go unless you want something more like a racing board.

The biggest issue with a board like this is that if you’re going any distance in the wind, you can find it tough to control it on your own. For most people, this may not seem like a big deal, but we frequently have to inflate the board in one place and then put it in the water in another.

Whether you’re looking for a paddleboard for yourself or as a gift for a friend or family member, the 2021 iRocker 11’All Around performs exactly what its name suggests: it’s an all-around paddleboard that can be used in a variety of water situations. If the person who will be using the board is taller than 5 foot 10 inches, you’ve got the right board for them!
